The updated forecast for the 28th LBI Chowderfest is as follows for Beach Haven, New Jersey:

Discussion: A closed-off upper-level area of low pressure over the Ohio Valley has continued to dominate the pattern heading into the weekend. This has kept the area rather wet over the last few days with some much needed rainfall. Unfortunately the upper-level low will continue to influence the region with spotty showers from time to time however conditions should begin to improve today and tomorrow as rainfall becomes even more spotty. There might be some minor coastal flooding in the streets of LBI. This happens very regularly so just be mindful not to drive in too deep of a puddle.

Saturday (October 1) high temperatures should reach the low-to-mid 70s in Beach Haven. Skies should be mostly cloudy with drizzle and mist possible. Winds should be light breezy of the E. Sounds like a great day to stay under the tent and shop till you drop during merchant day.

Sunday (October 2) high temperatures should reach the mid-70s in Beach Haven. Skies should start out mostly cloudy but could eventually give way to some sun poking through. More drizzle, mist and possibly even a rogue shower are possible. Winds should be light out of the SE. This definitely looks like the best day of the weekend but again, both days happen rain or shine. Hope to see you all there and as always, please be safe! JC
