Cold Start and Mild Finish to Thanksgiving Weekend (Nov 28-30)

Hopefully everyone had a great Thanksgiving! The weekend should start out cold and then moderate into next week towards seasonably average, if not slightly above, temperatures. Lets look at each day:

Friday will struggle to reach 40 statewide with a stubborn NW flow. Expect a mixed bag of sun and fast moving clouds. Light and brief isolated flurries/snow showers are possible at any time. Overnight lows should drop into the teens and 20s statewide.

Saturday should begin the moderation back to normal temperatures for this time of year. Highs should range from upper-30s to lower-40s NWNJ to SENJ with mostly sunny skies. Again, light and brief isolated flurries/snow showers are possible at any time. Winds will slowly switch to a light southerly flow as departing high pressure draws warmer air up around its back side. Overnight lows should then drop into the 20s and 30s.

Sunday will be noticeably more mild with temperatures reaching the upper-40s/lower-50. Skies should be mostly sunny with a stiff SW flow. Overnight lows will only dip into the upper-30s/lower-40s before another mild day on Monday to start the week.

This weekend outlook is proudly sponsored by weathertrends360 (www.weathertrends360.com).
