Mixed Weather Expected (May 11-15)

mixed

Remnants of Ana and a passing cold front will be the two main drivers of this coming week’s weather pattern. Before the cold front passage we’re warm, sticky and possibly stormy. Afterward…heavenly relief. Lets look at each day:

Monday high temperatures should range from upper-70s along the coast to mid-80s inland. Expect a mixed bag of sun, clouds and possibly thunderstorms. Winds should be light out of the south with elevated humidity levels. We can thank Ana remnants for that. Overnight lows should fall into the mid-60s statewide.

Tuesday high temperatures should break 80 for most and flirt with 90 for some. Elevated humidity should still be present. Skies should be mostly sunny where isolated instability-driven thunderstorms aren’t randomly popping up. Winds should be breezy out of the W as a trailing cold front attached to a Canadian low moves through overnight. Thunderstorms are possible at any time ahead of the cold front. Low temperatures should bottom out in the 50s statewide just before sunrise on Wednesday morning.

Wednesday high temperatures should struggle to break 70 with dry, sunny, and pleasant conditions. Once the front is through early AM, winds will be stiff out of the NW for the entire day. Overnight lows should fall into the 40s statewide.

Thursday high temperatures should range between upper-60s along the coast and mid-70s inland. Skies should be mostly sunny. Winds should remain stiff out of the NW. Overnight lows should hover in the mid-40s statewide.

Friday high temperatures should range from upper-60s along the coast to mid-70s inland. Skies should be mostly sunny. Winds should be light out of the S/SW. Overnight lows should fall into the lower-50s.
