A series of low pressure disturbances will skirt the coast of New Jersey and keep it rainy through at least Wednesday night. Then we’re clear and cool heading into the weekend. Let’s break it down:
Monday (Nov 30) high temperatures should reach the upper-40s/lower-50s. Clouds should persist and increase in coverage into overnight hours. Winds should be generally light out of the E/NE with a few gusts felt moreso along the coast. Overnight lows should fall into the 30s for NNJ elevations and 40s for the rest of New Jersey.
Tuesday (Dec 1) high temperatures should range from upper-40s for NNJ elevations to low-to-mid 50s along the coast. Skies should be mostly cloudy with rain possible. Winds should be light out of the E/NE for most (E/SE for SENJ – due to low pressure track). Overnight lows should fall into the 40s for most (low-50s along coast).
Wednesday (Dec 2) high temperatures should range from mid-50s for NNJ elevations to lower-60s along the coast. Skies should be mostly cloudy with rain possible. Rain should end by midnight, if not earlier in the day. Winds should be light out of the SW. Overnight lows should range in the 40s statewide.
Thursday (Dec 3) high temperatures should have trouble escaping the 40s for most. SNJ/the coast might break 50. Skies should gradually improve from morning to afternoon as the system moves out. Winds should be light out of the NW. Overnight lows should range from 20s in NNJ elevations to 30s along the coast.
Friday (Dec 4) high temperatures should range from mid-40s for NNJ elevations to lower-50s along the coast. Skies should be mostly sunny. Winds should be light out of the NW. Overnight lows should range from 20s in NNJ elevations to ~40 along the coast.
An early look at the weekend indicates dry and sunny conditions with general highs in the 50s, lows in the 30s and more NW flow ahead of high pressure moving in.
