Gorgeous Weekend Alert! (Aug 8-10)

The cold front quietly passed through the region yesterday which has pushed the humid tropical air mass out to sea. We’ll now fall victim to high pressure which should be in full control through at least Sunday. Only the smallest chance of a typical summer afternoon popup shower/storm is possible. Most of the state will feature gorgeous weather otherwise as low humidity levels make for a very pleasant feel. Let’s have a look at each day.

Before I get to the weekend, today should reach the lower-80s and fall to about 60 overnight. With 5-10mph winds out of the NW, that should feel great! A mixed bag of sun and harmless clouds should start the day but eventually clear for mostly sunny skies.

Friday should also reach the lower-80s and drop to about 60 overnight. Expect mostly sunny skies and light winds out of the N/NW as high pressure establishes domination over the region. A light S/SW sea breeze could kick up along the coast.

Saturday and Sunday look identical. They will both step up a few degrees but not much. Highs should reach the mid-80s and drop into the 60s overnight. Light winds will shift to the E/SE with again, mostly sunny skies. An early look at next week indicates even more of the same!
