Weather NJ Special Event Forecast

There’s no doubt Friday is going to be rainy and windy. In fact, the rain and wind have already started off the ocean (as of Thursday evening) and are expected to last through most of Friday, possibly into early Saturday. However, I’m seeing rain ending around sunrise on Saturday (by 8am) leaving the Jersey shore with just cool refreshing NE winds under cloudy but improving skies. The sun should make its presence known by noon and stay out for remaining event hours. Temperatures in Beach Haven on Saturday should max out in the mid-60s with again, breezy NE winds and clearing clouds. In my opinion, it’s perfect weather for chowder! The ocean will be rough surf-wise but that won’t stop the bayside event from experiencing beautiful early fall-like conditions. I recommend dressing for a cooler day but possibly layering if you find yourself warmer in the afternoon when the sun is out. 65-67 under sun can feel warm for some but there will still be NE winds around. Whether you remove the hoodie or keep it on, you’ll want to bring it. Everyone have a great time at the event and don’t get scared of the immediate rain from now through early Saturday AM, it should end just in time for a fallish-feeling 2023 Chowderfest. Be safe! JC
