Great Conditions Expected for The Makers Festival!

Weather NJ is proud to provide a special event forecast for the 5th Annual Makers Festival this weekend. The event takes place this Saturday, September 21st from 10AM to 6PM at Manahawkin Lake Park in Manahawkin, NJ. Free Admission to Festival Grounds. $10 Admission to the biergarten.

Biergarten proceeds benefit Alliance For A Living Ocean, Stafford Historical Society and scholarships at Southern Regional & Pinelands Regional High Schools.

“The mission of our festival is to highlight the underground current of Makers who are changing the landscape of production & consumerism in America, and more specifically, Ocean County where we live, work & play. It will be a day to celebrate the collective artistic endeavors of homegrown talent locally & beyond, and will feature over ten dozen Makers whose crafts include everything from handmade & vintage fashion, sculpting & woodworking, photography & fine art, craft beer, food and music. ” – The Makers Festival

Weather NJ Special Event Day Forecast

The Makers Festival sure picked a gorgeous day for an outdoor event this Saturday! Manahawkin temperatures should open the event (at 10am) in the 70s, peak in the low-to-mid 80s (around 2-3pm) and close the event (at 6pm) near-80 as temperatures fall back through the 70s for later in the evening. No wind problems as flow will be light out of the SW. The best part of the forecast are dew point temperatures hovering between the upper-50s and lower-60s. This will mean lower levels of humidity which should make the temperatures in the low-to-mid 80s feel manageable and even comfortable. Therefore it looks like a warm, dry and sunny day—the best you can ask for in local summer. I’d say casual summer attire should be perfect! No sweaters or jackets should be needed however sunscreen protection is recommended especially during the core-middle event hours of 11am to 4pm. I hope everyone has a fantastic time at one of the coolest local events around. Thank you and be safe! JC (9/18/2019 1:54pm).
