Mild Conditions Expected (April 8-12)

Discussion: A warm front will pass through after midnight tonight (Thursday) which should start Monday morning out wet. While not guaranteed don’t be too surprised to wake to a few rumbles during early Monday AM hours. With the warm front through expect a very mild Monday with our first taste of a warmer humid day likely. Normally we’d have a textbook cold front push through after a day of warm sector. But in this case we have a few trailing disturbances that should mix it up. Therefore Tuesday also looks warmer with more rain and thunderstorms possible. The cool-down doesn’t occur until Tuesday night into Wednesday. With that said Wednesday looks like the coolest day of the week but far from a cold day. Wednesday, Thursday and most of Friday look dry and mild. The next frontal rain possibilities are Friday night and Sunday night into Monday.

Monday (April 8) high temperatures should reach into the 70s for most. Skies should start mostly cloudy with early-AM rain, maybe even t-storms, but clear for some warmer sunny breaks during main daylight hours. Some more rain and t-storms are possible later in the evening. Winds should be light-t0-breezy out of the W/SW. Overnight lows should range from upper-40s to mid-50s NNJ to SNJ.

Tuesday (April 9) high temperatures should reach near-70 for most. The typical warmer spots (interior CNJ/SNJ) could reach the mid-70s. Skies should be partly sunny with PM showers and thunderstorms possible. Winds should be light out of the S/SW. Overnight lows should range from near-40 to near-50 NNJ to SNJ.

Wednesday (April 10) high temperatures should reach the mid-to-upper 50s for most with a few spots likely breaking 60. Skies should be mostly sunny. Winds should be light out of the NW. Overnight lows should range from near-30 to near-40 NNJ to SNJ.

Thursday (April 11) high temperatures should reach the low-to-mid 60s for most. ENJ/SENJ coastal regions should hang in the 50s due to marine influence. Skies should be mixed with sun and clouds. Winds should be light-to-breezy out of the E/SE. Overnight lows should range from near-40 to near-50.

Friday (April 12) high temperatures should reach into the 60s for most areas. Skies should be partly-to-mostly cloudy with rain and thunderstorms possible during PM hours. Winds should be light-t0-breezy out of the S. Overnight lows should range from upper-40s to mid-50s NNJ to SNJ.

An early look at the weekend indicates Saturday as the best day. Sunday should start nice but I am currently tracking a rainy synoptic disturbance for Sunday PM into Monday. Let’s take another look in a few days. Have a great week and please be safe! JC
