Mostly Nice Weekend Expected (Oct 30-Nov 1)

The storm system that brought Wednesday’s rain, wind and storms is pulling away into the northern Atlantic Ocean over E. Canada with high pressure moving into our region behind. This should allow for for at least a nice Friday and Saturday with Sunday looking less unsettled during the day than it looked earlier this week. We might be on the hook for some rain Sunday night into Monday though. Let’s break it down:

Friday (Oct 30) high temperatures should reach the mid-to-upper 50s statewide. Skies should be mostly sunny. Winds should be light out of the NW. Overnight lows should range from upper-20s for NNJ Elevations to lower-40s along the coast (30s for most).

Saturday (Oct 31) high temperatures should reach the mid 50s statewide. Skies should be mostly sunny with a few clouds. Winds should be light out of the W/SW. Overnight lows should range from upper-30s for NNJ Elevations to lower-40s for the rest of New Jersey. Don’t forget to set your clocks back overnight for daylight savings time!

Sunday (Nov 1) high temperatures should range from upper-50s (NNJ Elevations) to mid-60s (rest of New Jersey). Skies should feature a mixed bag of mostly clouds, some sun and a few possible passing showers. Winds should be light out of the SW most of the day but likely switch to NW by sun-down. Overnight lows should range from upper-40s for NNJ Elevations to lower-50s along the coast. Rainfall is possible overnight.

An early look at next week indicates a possible wet start on Monday followed by plenty of sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures (60s and possibly 70 inland) mid-week heading into the weekend.
