Okay Week before Cold Weekend (Oct 13-16)

I hope everyone had a great Columbus Day! Aside from a frontal passage between Tuesday and Wednesday, the week looks pretty good. Then get our your coats, gloves, hats and anything else you need to stay warm ready because the weekend looks cold!

Tuesday high temperatures should range from upper 60s (NNJ elevations) to lower 70s (rest of New Jersey). Skies should feature a mixed bag of sun and clouds with showers possible along the frontal passage later in the afternoon/evening. I wouldn’t expect much rainfall overall. Winds should be light out of the SW. Overnight lows should fall into the 50s for most of New Jersey (40s for NNJ elevations).

Wednesday high temperatures should reach the 60s statewide. Skies should be mostly sunny. Winds should be light out of the W. Overnight lows should fall into the 50s for most of New Jersey (40s for NNJ elevations).

Thursday high temperatures should reach the 60s statewide. Skies should be mostly sunny. Winds should be light out of the W/NW. Overnight lows should fall into the 50s for most of New Jersey (40s for NNJ elevations).

Friday might have trouble breaking 60 in the NNJ elevations. The rest of the state should reach the mid-60s. Skies should feature a mixed bag of sun, clouds, and possibly a few light showers, especially during AM hours. Winds should be breezy-to-gusty out of the SW. Overnight lows should fall into the 50s for most of New Jersey (40s for NNJ elevations).

An early look at the weekend indicates another relatively dry frontal passage Friday into Saturday followed by a blast of cold Canadian air. Expect lots of clear and cold.
