“The mission of our festival is to highlight the underground current of Makers who are changing the landscape of production & consumerism in America, and more specifically, Ocean County where we live, work & play. It will be a day to celebrate the collective artistic endeavors of homegrown talent locally & beyond, and will feature over ten dozen Makers whose crafts include everything from handmade & vintage fashion, sculpting & woodworking, photography & fine art, craft beer, food and music.” – The MakeShift Union

For more details about this amazing Ocean County event including local crafts, food, music lineup, The MakeShift Pop Up Shop and the Mobile Barrel Bar Beirgarten, please head on over to the official event web site for The Makers Festival.

Event Weather Forecast

Temperatures should be near-70F for the 10AM event opening. Early afternoon temperatures should peak in the mid-to-upper 70s before gradually falling back into the low-to-mid 70s by the 6PM event conclusion. Skies should feature a mixed bag of sun and clouds with humid feel. Just a super-small chance of a stray sprinkle or two. A rain-free day is most probable. Winds should be 10-15mph out of the E/NE with gusts to 20mph possible. Vendors please keep this in mind re: anchoring tents, backdrops or anything else that could become a giant sail during nuisance breeze. Otherwise Saturday looks more than sufficient for a great outdoor event. I hope to see you all there. Be safe! JC
