Zombie Outbreak Forecast – This Weekend!

It is our great honor to announce that the Southern Ocean Rotary Club and The Jersey Shore Council Boy Scouts of America have requested Weather NJ to provide their 2015 Operation Halloween, featuring Zombie Outbreak, weather forecast for the 2nd year in a row! This family fun event features food, music, activities for the younger ones (munchkin hayride and bounce house), a haunted hayride and a zombie infected pine barrens escape for the finale. The event is nestled in the Joseph A, Citta Scout Reservation in Barnegat, NJ and will run Friday-Saturday (October 23-24) from 4-10PM (4-7PM for the little ones and 7-10PM for the main scariest attractions). 100% of profits benefit various local charities. You can visit the Zombie Outbreak web site for more information.

The weather forecast looks absolutely stellar for an outdoor October Halloween-themed event, especially at night with a waxing gibbous moon-lit sky. During the day for the younger ones, it will be mostly sunny on both days with highs reaching the lower 60s. Temperatures should then drop into the 50s for the hayride and Zombie Outbreak and possibly dip into the upper-40s by the time the event winds down each night. Winds should be light out of the N/NW both nights featuring nice crisp October air. Break out that Fall apparel and come support a great cause! JC
